TO THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF UTAH:-- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
We, the undersigned residents of the State of Texas, feeling in our hearts that a mistake has possibly been made in the death penalty imposed upon Joe Hillstrom, who is to be executed in the State of Utah this month, and further, having confidence in the honor and uprightness of the Governor of Utah, hereby ask clemency for this man,- to the end that he may be enabled to clear himself of this heinous charge, of which we feel he may not be guilty.
