Thursday Aug 20

Perfect weather. Went to Corrymeela thence to my Pagoda this morning, Ewart having just finished putting up the curtains for me. Otherwise furnished with couch & rug on floor & altogether very comfortable. Went there after early dinner & enjoyed my nap in the wonderful quiet of the place. Air very fresh & invigorating. Dropped in at Corrymeela on way back & had tea there.

E.I. went to town by mid-day train.

B.E.W. dining with His Excellency on board ship, Lord Grey being on tour through lakes & canals.

Saturday Aug 22

Still feeling tired. In bed until noon. My aft. nap, as usual now, taken at Pagoda. Alf., H. & Morrow took part in little play given at the McMurrich's this aft. for Children's benefit and for which there had been many rehearsals during past two weeks. In the evening the performance proper was given, Ed. "making up" with his paint brush, most successfully, Harold as a butler & Morrow as an elderly man. Everybody went but myself. John came in from mail & we had a long chat - mainly about Gladys' health & strength. I to bed extremely tired. Cool evening.
