Weather still perfect. Cool enough to make exercise pleasant.

Memoranda
Jan. 25th '08, Saturday. Gladys' son born this evening between 10 & 11 o'c. Telephoned here for nurse (Miss Allen) about 2:30 P.M. Doctors sent for (J.W. Caven & McIlwraith) but they left before 6 o'c. returning during evening. G. had a hard time while they were on their way. J.S.H.G. and I communicated with each other by telephone during the evening. Rec'd final message after 11 o'c.
Gladys sat up in chair 1st time on Sunday Feb. 9th. Was taken across passage to her own room where Baby sleeps. Up about 30 min.
Monday Feb. 24th. Gladys' first drive & first time downstairs. Miss Allen & David (David Graham Guest) also came & we drove to Moore Park, were out nearly an hour.
Monday March 2nd. Gladys' first visit to us here at Long Garth, very short, perhaps 30 min.
Tuesday March 3rd. G., baby & nurse drove here & stayed to lunch, G. got her lunch upstairs.
March 5th. Gladys drove to town today & bought baby carriage.
7th. David occupied his perambulator for first time, sleeping in it on verandah.
