Fri. 19 Joan here for lunch. Council met & F.R.O.S. Arts Ball, received & talked to people, lovely time. Lovely pink corsage
Sat. 19 Downtown & shopped a little. Sewed & heard new opera "Vanessa" very peaceful day.

Wed 19 Had my hair done. Shopped. Revised Southesk To Symphony with Anne - Walton's Antarctic Symphony & Franchescotti
19 Snowing. Letters from Hugh Lil & Marie Unson. To Elliott's for dinner, Clarks & Bladen there. Then to M. Brydon's staff party, very nice.
19 Typed all morning. Joan, Anne B. & I to Royal Alex. to see "The Chalk Garden" with Judith Anderson & Cathleen Nesbitt. Nice time. Tired.
Sun. 19 To church, to Hugh's for dinner. Miss West drove me back. To hear cello player at H.H. - Zara Nelsova - splendid.

Fri. 19 Council meeting at 3. Dinner at Falconer. To Arts Ball, received with Jeannerets & Bissells - very nice.
Sun. 19 Dinner here. typed. Tea here, walked round Parl. bldgs. with Anne B. Lovely mild evening.
