Sirs

By your Lltter of the 6 of March last to our deceased father whose executors we are. We find a very poor discouraging acct. [account] of the 20 hhds. sent you by the Chester we shall not express ourselves with any reflection upon this head, we hope when they are sold you will transmit to us the accounts of sales and your accot. [account] currt. [current] with our deceased Father for want of which of a latter date than 1728. We are at a loss how to esteem ourselves in your books. However we have adventured to send for a small percet [percent] of goods which if the accot. [account] can bear it we desire you to send in according to the invoice inclos'd [inclosed]. We are

As in the perusal of the several letters that have past between yourself and our deceased father, we find a mutual harmony and esteem subsisting between you, so we his sons & executors with a thorough regard to his memory desire a strict continuance of it and should have assisted Capt. Byrd had it been in our power since the business fell into our hands.

This is intended by Cap. Bird who we have suffered to value himself upon you for being in discharge of necessarys taken of this estate for his ships use, this bill we inclose [enclose] to you endors'd [endorsed] by our brother Landon only, the ship not being yet come down & we doubt not your care in negotiating it. The
