Very hot. The Gov. Alick &
Dick off to Aldboro' early.
A hen pheasant from
Mr. Gzowski for Alick
arrived at night.

THURSDAY, 3.
City public holiday.
Office in morning & then
came out to lunch with
Bill after which we went
in to practise cricket.
Very hot day. Wrote Bill
Girdlestone for Alick's cricket
shoes.

FRIDAY, 4.
Hot day, Fred Biscoe
arrived by 12.30 G.W.R. p.m.
train. Went out early &
had a swim with him.

Hot day. After office
practised cricket for a
short time then went out
& took Sancho up the river
& shot sandpiper. I find that
he is now not at all Gun
shy. Gov & Dick home by morning
Pt. [G?] train. Alick by evg do. 5 woodcock shot.

SUNDAY, 6.
Fine day but heavy rain
in morning. Morning
service with Fred & Alick.

MONDAY, 7.
Fine day. Played croquet
after office.
