one. They each have a fair well, and sufficient for
domestic use, but then there is none for twenty or thirty
head of cattle. So these will not do. Then again the figure
ran high. They are not far away from the city of London
and only three miles from the town of Mount Bridges. The
vicinity to London accounts for the great price they ask.
The two farms have about sixty acres cleared, and in fair
working order. The land is very fair, it is good, though
perhaps a trifle too light. I am writing this in a ground
floor bedroom in a frame house in Strathroy. It is rather
busy times with them here, as the member of parliament
is dead, and they are bringing forward some others.
To-morrow will be first day as they call it here, I suppose
they mean nomination day. I have met to-day that
fellow that went from Birmingham to Liverpool with us
in the train, I saw him in London just after Breakfast
this morning, shook hands, said good morning and off.
I am not sure, but hope to be off to the township of
Dunwich to-morrow. We shall go on there if we have
time. I hope in the course of a few days to be able to tell
you that we have found a suitable lot for purchase.

We shall see several farms to-morrow, both here and at
