June 27^th /83.
It is three weeks today since I
arrived, three very pleasant weeks.
The day after I arrived I was
too tired to go into town, went
in next day, went met a friend
& had a delightful little chat.
On Sunday night went into
Church, dislike the cold dull
service exceedingly, went into
town indefinitely for a week
amused myself when home
with croquet, tennis and read
"ad libitum".
Thursday June 21^st our Garden
Party came off enjoyed it very
much but had a bad headache
got cross (& so did some one else)
met some very pleasant people
also some very queer ones, especially
