tender in payment of all debts public and

private.

It has been charged against

you by your enemies that you frequently change your opinions. I am grad that you hhave done so on some things, for

my observation is that your change of

opinions for the past year have been for

the better; hence I appeal to you to give this

matter your careful consideration and

if there is anything else that you would

like to huw from me I am at your

service. I will furnish for Congress an elaborate argumont in support of

the justice and retility of my proposition.

Hoping that you may see the light

in this and all matters temporal and spiritual and that you may at last

attain eternal happiness, with much

respect

A friend of humanity
