23rd cleared this morning weather moderat[e]
Will fix waggon this morning & hall
wood to day

24th. Weather moderate Mr Dalton fixed little
Cart for Little steers. Sam halled 2 Loads
Leaves filled up Cow rack, then Cutting
Oats shucks & wood balance of evening

25th. I stayed at home all day Settled with
Henry Jorden & Tom Kelley for Estate J D.H.
to day & Henry B Graves for Elvira 1867

26th. Nannie Sallie & children went to Doct
Estes very pretty day cloudy in evening

27. I went to old place cloudy & misting
rain part of the day warm Christmas
& clouday nearly every day more or less
nobody but Jorden at old place Bybee
has not moved yet nor Kelley were to
have moved Friday but did not

28. They expect to move the 1st next week
This day & cloudy & warm I stayed at
home all ^day Lowry moved here in p^t to day
Hannah Minicks has not come

29th cloudy stayed at home all day

30th. Snowing this morning Mr Dalton
gone out to hunt my Hogs thats missing
Hannah Minicks Came here to day –
Dan^l had Molly to day to go to Cap^t
Woodings for which he is to work 1 day
fencing in woods Lowry moving to day

31 my Hogs except Boar came up last
night began to snow yesterday morning
Snowed nearly all day fast, & all night
last night wind Blew very hard in the night
snowed & hailed all day & at it yet. Snow
nearly Knee deep now, & very cold
& very hard weather We have done
nothing to day but feed & Lowry Cut some
wood this evening & nubbined the Cows.
