August 7, 1866 - August 14, 1866

Halling Rails to fence in Oats on road
Plowed little Tobacco in new ground,

7th. Nannie & Jere Came back from Franklin
last night returned & went in one day
Hilling up Tobacco on Road at WaterLoo.
Billy putting up Hen House
Carried 1 Log 1 Millers Mill for Plank
for Hen House & 1 Turn Corn for meal

8 Fenced in Oats & finished working Tobacco
on Road, work Tobacco in Corner in new
ground & fresh field Cloudy this morning
Mr Bybee & Wyatt started to Lynchg 1 Hhd Tobacco
for Estate of & Jorden I expect started with
my Hhd at Cedar Hill let Mr Bybee have
$5 for toll of Waggons $5 for allum water
If he could get it, $5 for whiskey Barrels &
lent him $10 pr. Due Bill - - - I went up to
Jerrys to day - Plowing & Hilling up Tobacco in
fresh field all the $15 Dollars let Bybee
have to buy things & pay toll was my paid back $10own Money

9th Working Tobacco in fresh field. Carried
1 Log to Lewis Yates for Hhds staves & 3 to Millers
for Hen House clear cool nights hot days

10th. working & Plowing Lot Tobacco again

11th Toping worming & succoring Tobacco over
clear this morning, uncle Billy at work on Hen House
Alonzo Hunt, Dan Overby, & Hunt Hargrave here
this morning I am going to meeting to day SS

12 went to meeting nannie & me both days

13 Plowing & Hilling up Tobacco in Lot

14 I went up to see Bybee but did not do it
gone to Mill Rained in the evening finely
& some in the night, did not get done Hilling
up our Lot Sent Henry to Mill 2 Bushels corn
for meal & he got it about dark & brot it home from Yates
