my diery [diary] I slipped up and
forgot to enter one of the most
important functions of our
stay in N.Y. Namely the
dinner that Mr. & Mrs.
Witman gave us. It was
a wonderful dinner and
absolutely up to style, with
butlers, footmen, and all
the rest of them. Had entertainment after dinner. I think
we had the dinner on Wednesday
night.

Arose at 8:00 A.M. after
having less than four hours sleep.
Had pictures of the units taken on
the roof garden of the hotel.
Went to the dock and had
baggage inspected. Helped
buy Herb Brown's cigarrette
case, Dick's new pocket book.
