January 3.
Nice as ever no wind nor storm and bright sunshine.
Lew worked out his road tax. I went to town again
and paid Lews tax $41.00 and twenty five dollars on mine
and I took dinner with Meda.

January 4.
Very fine again. I think that the wind was
a little more raw and chilly than for the last few days.
Lew and I worked at the machinery shed in the
forenoon I all [illegible] got it done Lew went and got [1100 lbs bran?].
