Tues January 29. Ever so nice hardly a cloud in sight all day and quite warm. We hauled 8 loads of manure with our little matched team.
January 30. Wed Lovely day. Lew sawed some wood. Mother and I went a visiting to Mr Cushions and I met Mr Covington at CV Howards in the afternoon to transact some ditch business.

Thurs January 31. Fine day Lew went up to Neeces and got the cattle that were up there 10 head. I worked at making a hay rack what time I could get besides churning and doing chores.
February 1 Fri A little cooler today and a few clouds in sight. We went to town I received of Hottel the balance on the wheat $61.50 cts I paid CV Howard $35 cash being half for 10 tons of hay.
