I cut up the hominy corn and finished cutting the buckwheat in the forenoon and in the afternoon cut up some corn and done sundry other odd jobs.

SEPTEMBER 12. Thurs Nice again and cloudy quite a portion of the day. Will Dixon came this morning and we cut up corn on the piece at the North West Corner and got along pretty well too. Of course I attended to the water and I guess it will be pretty well irrigated by morning.

SEPTEMBER 13. Fri Pretty nice. Lew got home a little before noon and he and Will hauled seed alfalfa. Will went to the Windy hill place in the morning with old Nett and the rake and raked over the ground where the wind had scattered the alfalfa then cut corn in the ballance [balance] of the forenoon. I fussed around at a little of everything until after 10 O clock then cut up corn the rest of the day.

SEPTEMBER 14. Sat Cloudy and began to rain slowly about 9 O clock and kept it up until a little afternoon and wet down about 1 inch. Lew and Will Dixon stacked seed alfalfa until noon and didnt do much in the afternoon. I cut corn until driven off by the rain and after that did not do any thing.
