OCTOBER 5.
Just as pretty as a peach all day.
Lew went to town in the
forenoon and Mary and Aggie McBride came out
with him and in the afternoon he husked
corn awhile and raked a little on the 10
acre piece East of the lake. I mowed most
all day on the 10 acre piece and it looks as
though we would have quite a little wad of hay there.

OCTOBER 6.
Nice and real smoky a regular indian
summer day. Lew Meda and Mary and Agnes McBride
went up to John Dragers found them pretty
well and quite proud of their new daughter
and trying to find a name nice enough for her.
Mother and I kept Sunday.
