Thurs Oct 3 Clear and pretty fair
in the morning but it got pretty rough in
the afternoon and att [at] about half past
four it began to rain and kept it up all night I think.
We staid [stayed] at Charleys last night and took the morning
train for Loveland. It was nice there in the morning
but in the middle of the day the wind blew and it
was cold too but we saw the sights at the fair
all right. Took the train in good shape about 7
O clock and got back to Charleys a little before 8
visited awhile and went to bed at home.
Dave and Timmy hauled hay and cleared the piece
in the NW corner.

Fri Oct 4 Nasty day. It drizzled about
all day so of course it got pretty wet. We staid [stayed] at
Charleys and kept dry. Dave went over to town and
brought out Meda so he had company and
a cook.

Sat Oct 5 It was cleared off this
morning only sort of foggy and it has been a very
nice day but towards night it looks stormy
again. Dave came over to town and brought over the
butter and done some trading and
brought out Mother and me so we are
at home again.

Sun Oct 6 Clear and nice with just wind
enough to dry things out pretty fast. We had
the peddler Mr Baker to day. He came last night
and stays over Sunday with us. We kept Sunday
pretty quietly and didnt have much company
either.
