Mon Oct 7 Nice day but evrything [everything] is
quite wet yet. Dave and Mr Dixon and Timmy
put 4 good loads of hay into the barn loft.
I tinkered around at several small jobs and this
afternoon I have had a little start at a hand
cart. Wilse came out and brough [brought] out the
word that Meda was sick with the Typhoid
fever was taken last night.

Tues Oct 8 A beautiful day all
of the way. Dave went to take Charleys
buggy home this morning then I dont
know what he did do after that but rather
think that he went to the Spring Canion [Canyon]
ranch to exchange old Nell for Bonny but
he has not come back yet. I put in a pretty
busy day at the hand cart and got it so that
I think I can see the end of the job.

Wed Oct 9 Nice again and it is
getting quite warm. Dave and I gathered apples to day [today].
We gathered the fall apples about 250 lbs in the
forenoon and gathered about 1,100 lbs of yellow
Bellflowers this afternoon and from [6?] trees.

Thurs Oct 10 Nice again. We worked
at the hay until about 10 O clock then gathered
apples. Have got them all picked but the
Ben Davis's and got 12 bush [bushels] of them picked.

Fri Oct 11 [Lign?] We shocked up the hay
in the forenoon and in the afternoon Dave went to
town and brought out Ida and done some other errands.
I have been bothered very much with my rupture
so I didnt try to do much this afternoon.
