Sat Oct 19 Somewhat cloudy this morning but
it cleared off and was quite nice the latter part
of the day. We finished digging and buried our potatoes.
Had 22 bushels and they are very nice too. Will
Dixon has begun his potatoes to day and we brought
down and put in to the grainery 11 sacks of them
and Will took home 22 sacks.

Sun Oct 20 Pretty nice but the wind
was rather raw some of the time. Dave and I went
to look over the work at the lower end of the reservoir
and think they are getting along with it pretty
fast. We then went to see Mr Giddings orchard
and eat dinner at Mr Dixons and Dave got a horse
from them to ride up to the ranch tomorrow.
Mr Heath and Mr Roberts were here this
afternoon. They praised the apples very much.

Mon Oct 21 Cloudy all day with
a wind pretty strong from the North East but
it didnt rain only sprinkled a little. Dave went
up to the hill ranch to help dehorn some of the
cattle up there and has not got back yet. I have
chored around pretty steady to day.

Tues Oct 22 Cloudy and cool all day but
didnt rain. We sorted and buried 35 bush [bushels] of
Mr Larimers potatoes after Dave came home. I
fixed the barn doors in the forenoon before
he came and to night Mrs Randall and
I churned and it took us a long time too.
