Wed Jan 17 Clear but cold and windy
the latter part of the day. The boys got
home 4 loads of hay to day which finishes
the C V Howards hay. I worked at the bee
hive business.

Thurs Jan 18 Clear and still but
pretty cold in the morning from 4 to 10°
above zero. Lew went to Greeley to day to see
after his chances for work there.
Frank and I filled the racks and he took
Howards wagon rack home and I went to
see the amount of water in Long Pond
found some fellows fishing and bought
6½ lbs. They asked me 30 cts [$0.30] and said
that they could get 15 cts [$0.15] a pound this
afternoon. Frank cut ice for Mr Bee. I done
sundry chores.

Fri Jan 19 Cold in the morn [morning]
and afternoon. It was windy and got pretty
cold again. Frank helped Mr Bee at his ice.
Lew got home just at night but has no
definite bargain yet. I worked at several
odd jobs but this afternoon Mr Smiths
folks were here and we visited mostly.

Sat Jan 20 Clear mostly
but awful windy. Frank worked for
Mr Bee. Lew cut wood awhile and then went
to town then to Charleys and got Mother. I
cleaned up the hay Carrell [corral] at windy hill
then worked at bee hives and finished the
job.
