Fri May 19 Clear but very windy and
getting awful dry. Lew worked at the
strawberry business to day and Kib howed [hoed]
peas this forenoon and this afternoon
he helped Lew. They got out 2 rows and
part of another. I found some water in
the Larimer Co ditch and turned out about
35 or 40 inches but some vandal took
a lot more for Long Pond so it failed
on me a good deal but I worked at
it all day and left some running to
night on the piece this side of the
house.

Sat May 20
Clear and pretty nice. We all
set strawbery plants. We had 16
inches of water in the headgate
No 2 and we run some into the
lake for we had to set strawberries.

Sun May 21 Clear in the fore part
of the day and cloudy and rained a
little in the after part. We all kept
Sunday hand over hand reading
and writing and Kib went to town.
