Sun Oct 21 Pretty and clear but a cold wind.
We that means Mother Meda and Arthur
Bush and I went up to Harry Dixons visited
until about one O clock then came home
and at night Lew came. He staid [stayed] all night
and is going to try to find two missing
calves in the next two days if he can.

Mon Oct 22 Quite a good day
for working. Lew rode Dexter and started for
the Spring Canion [Canyon] country to look for a
couple of calves that strayed away last summer.
One is his the other mine. Johny went
home this morning to help Will get some
wood for his Mother. I dug potatoes and picked
most of them up. They turned out pretty
well especially in small ones.

Tues Oct 23 Clear still and quite warm.
I dug potatoes to day [today] and Mrs Randall and
Bertie picked them up. We got away with 26 rows.
Most of them were very nice.

Wed Oct 24 Another fine day.
We dug potatoes. They were not so good to day [today]
but there is a good many very fine ones among
them.

Thurs Oct 25 Good day again. We finished
digging and picking up the potatoes to day [today].

Fri Oct 26 Awful nice. I done
some little odd jobs and some trimming
raspberry bushes. Frank brought over some
of Lews cows 6 of them and 5 calves to have
us keep them a few days until Lew gets
moved so that he can attend to them.
