Fri Feb 1st Clear but quite cold only
where the sun shone bright. Dan
has not got home yet. Johny went to school.
Lew fixed the rest of the heads to those
barrels and done some other smal [small] jobs and
I tinkered a little in the warmest part
of the day.

Sat Feb 2 Clear and Pretty fair day.
The boys Lew and Dan unloaded the coal. Dan got
home with it last quite late he bought 3,800
after they got the coal unloaded Lew and Mary went to
town to the sale and Dan went to Franks to
Exchange horses. Johny cut and trimmed cottonwood
trees for the wood and has got a good lot of them too.
I made some more nest boxes and fixed them
up in the lower hen house.

Sun Feb 3 Clear mostly but pretty
cold. Dan got home from Franks. Johny went
up home has not got back yet. Lew and May went
over to town have not got back yet. Mother
and I kept house some of the time.

Mon Feb 4 Clear and thawed a little.
We covered the strawberries and took out and
barreled one hole of apples. It made about
5 barrells [barrels]. Johny went to school.

Tues Feb 5 Quite a nice day being clear
still and quite a litt [little] warmer finished barrelling the
apples had 7 barrells [barrels] then took them over to town. I
went along. Dan went to Charleys and got the 3
heifers that were turned in Dec and they made 58 days.
