Dear Sir

I wrote you ^in^ reference to the Course per=sued by officers belonging to Col Blythe^'s Command during the progress of organ-ization. Not withstanding all men between the ages of 17 & 50 year^s had thirty days to enroll or volunteer in They went about arresting all such and then swear them into their Companies Thus forcing them to volunteer—They also have a number of men who belong to Confederate Service and under orders & surely are deserters in their Commands They have some who are Conscripts and are liable to Confederate
