the Throate
Rp a quantity of roach Allome half burnt, &
and the other half unburnt, putt to itt a fitt quantity
of honey & rew & grind them to an Oyntment, &
rub e Canker therewith till it bleeds at e first
time of useing itt and afterward lay it on softly

Rp a quantity of Bay salt & cummin seeds
bruise them after they be dried, and drie them
in a pan & lay them to e mould of the head, as
hott as can be indured, As itt cooles lay on more

A Remedye for the fallinge
sickness t cured one of 60 yeares
of Age after he had had itt 15 years
Rp Cowslipps & Bettony make them into fine powder
take 2 dramms of e Cowslipp powder, and one of e
Bettony powder, and in a good draught of Cowslip
water, take itt twice a day, 3 dayes before e
change of e Moon, & 3 dayes after, this must
be his constant course before and after the change

Of the Moon; all other times he must constantly
drink for his morneing draught Cowslip water
& in itt e powder of a kites liver & of a Magpies
liver, as much as will lye on a [6a], and once in a
week the partie is to take in his morneing draught
as much of e powder of a deads mans skull as will
lye on a [6a]

An Oyntment for
one that is Livergrowne
Rp Yorrow, dandulion, Ribwort plantaine,
mallowes, fennell, rosemary, sage, liverwort
of each a handfull, wipe them very cleane
with a dry cloath & shred them small & boyle
them in a pound of butter till itt be very green
then streind itt through a cloath & keep itt for
your use
The drink for the same
RP a pint of Ale & boile in itt long pepper
& a few graines & after itt is boyled putt in a
spoonfull of treacle, & drink thereof fasting
and anoint e partie with this aforesaid Oyntment
For heate in the stomack
fumeing up to e head & hindering
sleep
