put tow every pinte of watter an ounce of sugar candy
well beaton this watter is of strong & seceiret nature
it healeth the longes if they be wonded or puterefyed
it sufereth not the blud to puterefey but the same it
mundefeyes it sufereth not the harte to be sade or the
malencoley fleame to be lifted up or have dominon
above nature this water expells winde mighteley &
preserveth the stomacke marvelously & conserveth the
memorey notable destroyeth the palsey & man or woman
labering towardes death it releveth wonderfulley &
of all watters artefichally this is the best in the winter
you are to take 2 sponfulls in a weeke in the sumer
one sponfull but allwayes fasting.
This watter may be distilled in a pewter still.

An Exelent surfett watter

Take a quarte of small aquiavita 60 raisons of the sune
stoned one drame of rubarb slised thine one quarter of
an ounce of Cinamond one graine of muske put all thes
together in a glase bottell & let thes ingredents lye in
constantly untill all your watter be spente this is also
good for any illness att the stomacke you may take 3 or 4
or 5 sponfulls at a tyme as you se ocation you must tye
your muske in a thine ragge & soe hange it in your bottell
a mounth in the sunne if it be summer.

A Receipt of treacle watter

Take one ounce of hartshorne & boyle it in 3 pintes of
springe watter untill it come to a quarte thn take the roots
of Elecompaney Jentian Chipes & tormentill of each an
ounce burrage buglose Rosmarey flowers of each 2 ounces
of Citeron rindes one ounce thn take 10 ounces of ould
veneus Treacle the best & dissolve it in 6 pintes of whit wine
& 3 pintes of rosewatter & soe infuse it & mixe it all to-
gether & distill it
the diference that I make is insteade of halfe the rosewatter
I put in as much cardus watter twise distilled & one ounce
of marey gold flowers

turne it the botom upward noe drope may rune out thn cover
it with paper & lether let it stand 8 dayes in the sune in
a tempereat warme place to digest shaking the glase very well ons
a day thn let it stand 8 dayes more to setell befor you power it
from the botom or if you have no present use it may stand as
longe as you will but be suer when you power it out let it be
soe slowly done as none of the botom be powered out with it &
soe put it up for your use

A watter to cause one to sweat

Take may flowers & distill thm in a comon still & give
the party a sponfull in 6 sponfulls of bere & lay ther handes
by ther sides halfe an hower soe let thm sweat as longe as
they can & be carfull of cold

To make popey watter

Take 3 gallons of stronge alle & 4 pound of popey flowers
being picked from the seedes & stalkes soe stepe in all
night & still it in a limbecke its good allmost for
every greife 5 or 6 sponfulls at a tyme with a litell sugar

A Cordiall watter of Chereyes
good for fainting fits

Take 4 pound of Reed Chereys put away the stalkes & stons
put to thm halfe a handfull of rosmary topes 2 handfulls
of balme 2 ounces of Sinamand broken in peces let all the
be infused in an earthen pott with 5 pints of Claret
wine 4 dayes together thn bruse the Chereys with your
hand & put all thes things in an ordinary still let it
still softly save the strongest by it selfe 3 or 4 sponfulls
at a tyme is enough with a sponfull of surop of Clove
Gilleflowers you may take more of the smallest it is
good for the harte a woman in Child bed may take it

Take the Ragges of pearle Reed Corall Crabes eyes hartshorn
White Amber of; each a licke quantety thn take soe
much of the powder of the black tippets of the Crabes claw
& this is the maine agent as it were of all the rest mixe
thm all well together & make it up in balles with a
gelley made of hartshorne wher in you shall infuse
some saforon & keepe it for your use after tha are fulley
decocted

This is good for maney thinges as against the ague
burning feavor Consumption the small pox & it will
presarve age health and streingth.
