A Medicin Glister for ye Gout
Make a decoction with Centery Hypericon Cammemile Mellilott and Mallowes of each halfe a handfull adde hereunto thes halfe a pinte of decoction 3 oz of boys [Eurin] 2 oz of browne Sugar Candy an oz of Venis Turpentine an oz and 1/2 of oyle of Cammemile Take itt no more then blood warme and keepe itt if you can 2 houres

The dyett drinke for ye Goutt
Take English Liquorish one oz of Sasaphrix [on in] sliced ye weight of 2d Aniseeds and Fennill seeds of each 1/2 an oz razons of ye sun stoned a quarter of a pound boyle thes in 3 pottles of water till one be consumed when this is cold and cleare from ye dreggs bottle itt up and drinke only of this att meals and att other [times] for 20 dayes

A Pultise for ye Goutt
Take [Quirne] kernills and ye seeds of [GSilica] of each ye weight of a shilling boyle these in water to a Gelly streyne itt and adde thereto ye whites and yolks of 3 eggs oyle of Roses one oz Camphor reduced to powder with halfe an almond 15 grains ring these well and apply itt spread on a cloth to ye part greived takinge of ye cold rippon ye cover of a warminge pan change this morninge and eveninge

An excellent plaister for ye goutt or aches strains or weaknesses in ye bones or Synews being applyed to ye place greived and for ye weaknesse and paine in ye backe for fitts of ye mother and to suppresse melancholly vapors yt fly from ye spleen to ye head and to strengthen a weake stomach. This is most effectual applyed to ye stomach lett itt ly till itt will sticke no longer itt will allso breake a plague sore

Take a pinte of ye best Salett oyle 3 quarters of a pound of ye [left] caster sope halfe a pound of [birgain] ye pitch 2 oz of stone pitch beaten a quarter of a pound of bees wax a quarter of a pound of red lead boyle all these in a pipkin ower a soft fire and take an oz of ye oyle of Maid an oz of ye oyle of Cloves an oz of ye oyle of Nuttmeggs and putt into ye aforesaid stuffe and dry halfe an oz of Saffron and grind itt very fine to a powder and putt itt alltogether and boyle itt gently and drop a drop on a drop on a trencher and see if itt bee thicke then rowle itt up into rowles on a wet board when you use itt you must worke itt a little in ye palms of your hands and be spread itt on ye roffe side of sheeps leather full of holes you must worke itt in your hands or oyle of Roses before you spread itt

Take of Sasaparilla halfe one oz of Harmadactulus halfe one oz of Cena 1/2 oz of Basaphrim of fennill seeds one spoonfull of razons of ye sun stoned one handfull one handfull a little Ginger and lett ye wood bee infrsd all night in 6 pinte of water made boyling gently till 2 pints bee boyled away then take itt from ye first and putt into itt ye shred Ginger and Harmadactulus beinge made into fine powder and ye Cena [Slice] itt well and then lett itt setle close covered and drinke ye cleare a draught morninge and evening
