South Easterly by a slightly bending line at the junction of the upland and the marsh and by said heirs of Cornelius Stone about six hundred and seventy one feet to a stake; then Easterly by said heirs land and a straight line across said marsh to a stake at the river one hundred and four feet; said parcel of land being that parcel of the estate of the late Moses Stone deceased lying southeast of the road and way afore said which was set off to his widow for her dower and occupied as such by her untill her death. Together with a right of way in over and upon a strip of land belonging to the said proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn and extending from the main road (which [lies?] on front of the Cemetery) to Watertown to the back or southerly land of said Cemetery bounding on the easterly side in part on land of one Coolidge, and in part on land herein released to said Brasee, and reckoning from said land of said Coolidge and said Brasee uniformly two rods in width and no more --

released to said Winchester, and reckoning from said line of said Coolidge and said Winchester uniformly two rods in width and no more -- To have and to hold the above ^released. premises, to the said William P. Winchester - his heirs and assigns, to his and their use and behoof forever.

And the said Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn do covenant with the said William P. Winchester, his heirs and assigns, that the premisis are free from all incumbrances made or suffered by them, excepting such as are created by a deed bearing date and recorded with Middlesex deeds Libo 454 Folo 220, and that they will warrant and defend the same to the said William P. Winchester, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons claiming by, through, or under them, but against none other, excepting those who may claim under the aforesaid deed. In witness whereof the said Corporation hath caused these presents to be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Secretary and the common seal to be hereto affixed on this . Geo. W. on land now or late of one Coolidge, and in part on land herein conveyed to said Winchester, and reckoning from said line of said Coolidge and said Winchester uniformly two rods in width and no more.

To Have and to Hold the above granted premises to the said William P. Winchester, his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever. And the said Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn do covenant with the said William P. Winchester his heirs and assigns that they are lawfully seized in fee simple of the afore granted premises: that they are free from all incumbrances; excepting a certain deed from the said Proprietors to Morton P. Brasee, dated the , and recorded with Middlesex Deeds Lib. 454, fol. 220, that they have good right to sell and Convey the same to the said William P. Winchester, his heirs and assigns forever to hold as aforesaid; and that they will warrant and defend the same to the said William P. ject of a pedestal for the Statue.

Coolidge Avenue. graded.

Mr Bangs from the Committee on the petition of the City of Cambridge as to the grading of "Coolidge Avenue" (so called) reported verbally, that the change requested had been made under his direction, but further changes were desired on the Avenue nearer to the main road, all of which could be made by persons interested without charge to this Corporation. Thereupon Voted. That this Corporation will permit the City of Cambridge to further grade the road between the Cemetery fence and Mr Coolidge's line, the work to be subject to the approval of Mr Bangs as a Committee.

Watering Streets. allowance for.

Mr Bangs also reported verbally in reference to Mr Ross petition for an allowance for watering the street near the Cemetery, which report was discussed and it was finally Voted.That Mr Bangs be instructed to pay ten dollars on behalf of this Corporation for said purpose for the present year.

Messrs Little & Bangs from a Committee on the subject, reported in writing as follows.

Indian Ridge Path and Willow Avenue.

"The committee appointed to consider and report upon the petition of W.W. Dennis and others that a carriage way be opened across Indian Ridge Path to connect Willow and Lime Avenue, have attended to that duty and report the impracticability of complying with the prayer of the petitioners in consequence of the laying out of the grounds in that vicinity leaving only space for a six foot path. that Osier Path, already graded from Willow to Indian
