June 15 To Major H. M. Robert Corps Engineers Sir: The following telegram has been this day sent you: Balances special appropriations for Light Houses to not revert on thirtieth June. Few appropriations are now available.

June 20 From Engineer Secretary Major G.H. Elliot To Major H.M. Robert Corps Engineers Sir: OF the appropriations made for works for your District by the Act of March 3rd 1871, there now remains in the Treasury only a balance of $23,628.56 on account of Cape Foulweather light-station, Oregon 1871-72.

Robert Corps Engineers Sir: Your special attention is called to the requirements of the enclosed circular and the modifications there of which will be made necessary by the act making appropriations for the Light House Establishment for the year 1872-73, which will be sent to you as soon as it is printed.

inst. relative to the lantern for Cape Foulweather Light-station, Oregon, I beg to enclose in copy of a letter to Col. Williamson. Engr. 12th L. H. Dist., Enclosing bill of lading, for the lantern in question which was shipped to him for the Engineer of the 13th Dist., per steamer Ocean Queen in April last.

Roberts, L. H. Engineer 13th Dist., March 30th, per steamer "Ocean Queen". When received please send one receipt for this shipment.
