Dearest Marie,

Just a line to let you know I am still in Germany. I have not heard from you for a long time and some times think you have forgotten me.

Well dear this is a very quiet place and a great difference to the battle field. It is pretty cold here and we have snow and rain nearly every day.

We have a show here nearly every week and enjoy them very much. The people treat us very nice here and seem glad that the war is over.

I have not heard from you for a long time but I hope you are well. Let me know if you are receiving my letters. It seems strange that your letters are so few and far between.

I suppose you are still at Neals and hope you are to the top of the ladder. I sure wish I was back with an old suit of civilian clothes on. I guess there are lots of boys coming back now and hear they are getting a royal welcome.
