Consumed a little champaain.

Got up at eleven. Passed inspection with me in bed. Wrote letters in the afternoon.

Tuesday, July 3, '17.

Left at 7 A.M. for a load of "75" at Fere-en-Taudenois and took them to Cussy Fermne. While we were unloading two shells fell in Ouilly and killed eight men. Got home at seven thirty. Four cars went over to Moulins and got shelled and gased. They had many wild tales to tell.
