Boches at Sermoise as corvey and I picked up a lot of souveniers. I got a lot of buttons, money, sigarrete case, ring, and a pipe. The Boche would trade anything they had for bread and chocolate. Some of them were very young and one couldn't help but feel sorry for them. At Vially we saw the Boche still burying the dead. [deleted]They we[deleted] The corpses were piled up in stacks more than you could count. It was a grusome and sickning sight. Went to the movies in the evening.
