Tuesday July 2nd

"Boggie" Roberts engine "pooped" on him, and he had to land in a weat field with the wind. He smashed to kinding wood. His belt broak and when the machine turned over, it threw him clear of the machine. He got out of it with nothing more than a brouzed knee.

Wednesday July 3rd.

Flew, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. C.V. Hanse's engine blew to pieces in the air. He fell 800 m. before he could get control of the machine. He made a good landing.h

Thursday July 4th

In formations today. Had a wonderful nights rest. Spent from 9:30 to 11:30 with the dentist. -- 24 "Averals" [deleted]came over[deleted] and [deleted]two[deleted] 2 "Sop Pups" came over from the English school [deleted]and[deleted] in formation and performed for us. It was the most wonderful air exhibition that I ever set eyes upon. Went down town with Herb. after dinner. Had supper down town & got home about 11 P.M. Went for a drive in the afternoon.

Shortly after I got home the guard saw two sevelians sneaking out of the hangars. He fired at them and chased them into a grain field. The field was surrounded, but they got out
