Mount Auburn .

Saml T. Snow Esq. Chairman Comm. on Lots.

Dear Sir

I send you two plans of lots which belong to parties who wish to divide them differently, and exchange their present deeds.

First Case. Warren Sherbourne, (Lots 3021 & 3022. 300 feet each.) States his lots are divided lengthwise, and that he wishes to divide them according to red numbers on plan, so as to deed away new lot 3022 on Petunia Path. His lot is measured to outside of posts, and within these are 553 & 296 feet = 849 feet or 89 feet more than his deeds give him. Should the Committee allow this change, I would respectfully suggest that this additional space of 89 feet be put between the two new lots as a passageway.

Second Case. Wm W. Whitcomb owner of 3116 (230 ft.) has bought lot 2031 (300 ft.) and by permission of late Supt. has united both lots in one for which he wishes to have a new deed, in place of the two deeds he now holds. You will notice he has enclosed 6 feet less than he is entitled to.

S.T. Snow Esq Ch. Comm. on Lots

Dr Sir

On looking at Mr Sherburne's lots 3021 & 3022 I find that there would be no difficulty in making a passage way between the lots, and a strip wide enough to make the 89 feet should, I think be taken from lot 3021, and an order given us by the owner to seat posts & cut the numbers (which has never been done)

Dear Sir

To take down the remaining portion of the fence on the Line of the Watriss & Chant Lots & remove to line of Chant Lot & Catholic Cemetery will cost $9545 and the remaining distance to line of stockade fence can be completed for $650.90

This allows for some waste on the fence removed & is probably a liberal estimate.

Sec'y.

D Sir

I send you a report on #3021 and 2. of Sherburne.

I told Mr Snow that the lots measured to the inside of posts the correct quantity (not having the plan). I find now when I come to divide the quantities between the lots that I am mistaken, and that if the inside corners of the posts are fixed as boundaries, 23 ft more are needed to make up the required amount, which I have added as the blue line on plan will show, as I can see no objection to it and I know it to be acceptable to Mr Sherburne .

Yours truly
