Dear Madam: -

The Gardener reports that one of your roses has decayed and broken off where it was budded on to the stock, and that the other is so old that it should be replaced with a younger plant next Spring. In viw of that do you think it well to go to the expense of having the stored this Winter.

Your order is received, and appears to be all clear.

I find that there is a bill due on the lot ($2.00) for care of the lot in 1884, and as the Trustees do not permit me to do work on lots where there are back bills, will you please arrange the matter with our Treasurer (#5 Pemberton Sq., Boston) so that the work can go on.

Dear Sir,

There was but one vote which related to the Cemetery, and that was the following: --

"That the Committee on Grounds be authorized to cause the Iron Fence enclosing the Cemetery to be painted at an expense not exceeding nine hundred dollars."

In reply to your note of Jany 20, 1866 asking if the present name of the proprietor of lot no. 1683, should be entered on our catalogue, I say "Yes" -- we desire to reform our catalogue as much as possible. I am now preparing one for the press, & will thank you to give me the lady's name in full and also her residence.

If you are that lady (which your note does not say) please give me your own christian name. Your husband's name I have.
