Dear Sir,

I send in a package thirty four checks which have been ordered. Deeds ordered for Geo. W. Colburn- Heirs of Chas. Lowell, Thos. J Lee, 4 Upham Bros. Susan Brown Lydia M. Allen Mary B. Caulk Harriet Noyes Ruth W. Prescott. & Alvan Clark

I am not able to return yet. The last named here not paid the $50 for tomb rights.- This rule applies to all new purchases whether the tomb be a catacomb or otherwise.

I do not find any record of agreement about allowance on the Larkin lots inquired about by you.--

Please receipt in turn bill to Z. Hosmer, for the draft of $10 which I send you. -

I am informed by Capt. Winsor that the deed of your lot does not correctly describe its location. that he was obliged to turn it about; for want of depth. If you will send the deed to me, I will correct it.

Dear Sir,

I wish to see the bequests that have been made for the care of lots paid in as fast as is practicable: I remember that the bequest of Sophie Mumford, late prop.^r of lot no 126 Willow Av^e was not paid in on account of a clause ie.

Your report which is as follows: - [1. ans.?] "The centre posts are loose, the ground requires new grading, and monument [ought?] to be raised 8 or 10 inches."

So the Committee on Lots accepted her $300, "provided the lot be first put in complete order."

The last I heard of the matter, her Ex^or, Jeremy Drake, Cash^r of the Freeman's Bank was arranging the repairs with you.

Will you please inform me upon this tomorrow.

Dear Sir,

I return you a new deed of your lot in Mount Auburn - no. 3336 - in place of the old one returned me on account of erroneous description.

The Treasurer suggests that he never rec^d the $1. for the deed, which you can enclose him by mail. (Geo. W^m Bond, Treas^r 167 Congress St.)

I perceive that the old deed did not contain the Internal Rev. Stamp of 50 cts, which is required on all instruments after June 1. 1863 to render them valid.

You had better put one upon the new deed & cancel it. -
