Representation of Lots _

Upon the petition of the parties in interest representatives were designated for the lots in connection with which they are named as follows: _

1500 Frederick A. Benson of Newton, son of John Benson, deceased proprietor of the lot numbered 1500;

1705 Samuel Gilbert, of Boston, son of Samuel Gilbert, deceased proprietor of lot numbered 1705. _

Lease of Office _ Execution of in behalf of the Corpn authorized, when approved by Comee _

The Secretary laid before the Board a lease drawn in duplicate, from Edwd Bangs and Frank Hopkinson, Trustees, to this Corporation of the two front, second story rooms of house no. 16 Pemberton Square, for the term of ten years from , upon the terms contained in the memorandum of agreement heretofor reported to this Board. [ante, p. 132].

Upon which it was

Voted that the said lease shall be executed in behalf of this Corporation in the usual manner, when it shall have been approved by the Committee which contracted for the same (mesrrs Rand & Livermore).

Dear Sirs

No plants were put in the lots (1421 &1705) for care of which you made a deposit, because the funds have not been sufficient. The deposit was made in June 1879 and while it can have been at interest but little more that a year, the expenses of 1879 and 1880 - two years- has been charged to the lot. I do not think the funds are sufficient to keep the lots in good order and provide flowers.
