the wedding – We think [underlined] Richard Bates will be here but have no further news – but think you should phone Mrs Allen or drop her a line at once [underlined] thanking her for the invitation & saying whether or not you are likely to be able to come.

I would be inclined to think if her dinner is to take place next [underlined] week end – (18th or 19th) it might not be possible for you to go or at least not easy – but if it is the week ending 26th (after the wedding you might do so if you feel inclined – but you should give her a definite answer whether by letter or
