Dear Sir

In lot 551 of Mrs Esther Holbrook of Charleston S.C. one of the freestone corner posts is broken and the fence on one side is also broken, this very much injures the appearance of this and surrounding lots. I therefore, for the general good propose to remove the fence & posts and leave the lot in good order free of charge to the owner, provided I am authorized to do so by the proper person.

I applied to Mr. Geo. F. Wilde for information and was by him referred to you. If you can furnish me with the requisite authority I would like to have you; if not able to do so will you kindly furnish me with the address of the person to whom I must apply.

This much injures the appearance of this & surrounding lots. - I therefore for the general good propose to remove the fence & posts & to leave the lot in good order, free of charge if I obtain authority to do so from the proper person. I applied to Mr. G.F. Wilde was referred to Dr. S.P. Holbrook and by Dr Holbrook was referred to you.

The hedge about lot 2230 Pyrola Pa. is in too poor condition to be repaired and ever be satisfactory. No new hedge can be setout in any part of the Cemetery.

I should like to be advised of what your decision may be.
