Frankfort, Kentucky, 17th Novr 1798.

Sir

By the direction of the Governor of this Commonwealth, I have the honour of transmitting to your Excellency a copy of sundry resolutions entered into by the legislature of Kentucky relative to certain mea-sures of the general government, which he trusts you will lay before the legislature of the State over which your Excellency presides.

Frankfort January 3d 1801

Sir

I do myself the honour to inclose to your Excellency, the copy of a law of this state entitled "An Ace authorizing the Governor to appoint commissioners for the purpose of viewing a road from this state to intersect the road leading from the states of Georgia and Tennessee", I shall be happy to be informed what regulations (if any) have been made by the Legislature of Tennessee on this subject. with perfect respect I am your Excellency's most obt servt

Dr Sir.

I had the honor of receiving your letter by Mr Humprheys the Commissioner appointed on behalf of the State of Tennessee to Procure the ad= justments of the boundary line between the two states. He will no doubt report to you in detail the Course which that business has taken

I have now the honor of enclosing to your Excellency the Copy of an act recently passed by the legislature of this State on that subject
