Willie Blount Governor in and over the State of Tennessee

To Either of the Treasurers of the State

Pay Reece Porter and Company, one hundred Dollars for the apprehension and deliverence of William Phillips, charged with the Murder of William Quarles, who had escaped from the custody of the Sheriff of White County, and for whose apprehension, the Governor by proclamation, offered a reward of one Hundred Dollars, and this shall be your warrant.

Given under my Hand and the Great Seal of the State at Nashville this 17th day of August 1814

Willie Blount Governer [sic] in and over the State of Tennessee

To usher of the Treasury of the State, Pay John Sevier two hundred eighty Seven dollars fifty cents, as compensation for five hundred and seventy five pounds of Gunpowder delivered the State of Tennessee, and in full of an allowance made him by the fifth Section, of an act entitled "an act to provide for the payment of the members Clerk, and the door keeper of the present General Assembly and for other purposes" passed the 22nd. November 1809 and they Shall be your warrant
