Ted told me about Owen Applebee but he was not sent here to Kelly Field at least I did not see him if he was I have not hear from Clem yet but expect to hear from him at anytime now he is awfull slow at writing letters I guess.
I am going to write often to you again as I am not driving truck now and am taking it easy again I got a fine letter of recommendation from the Squadron that I was driving truck for that will sure give me a fine chance in the 83rd Squadron because they sure know now that I am a first class driver and repair man that is why I guess they did not let me transfer they seen that the other Squadron wanted Herb and I bad as the other Squadron commander had his Sergeant go to see our Captain three or four times and I guess the Captain said to himself if that other Squadron wants them as bad as that they must be good men and I guess I will keep them in this Squadron that is the way it looks to Herb and I so I guess we will make out O.K. by the looks of things
