To the Honorable Mayor & Common Council of the City of Seattle The undersigned members of the Board of Delagates of the Fire Department of the City of Seattle, would resepctfully represent to your honorable body, that, the remomval of Engine No 2 from its present quarters to Belltown,, as heretofore ordered by your honorable body, is against the public interests of the City, and will in case of a fire in the business portion of the City work an irreparable injury We would therefore respectfully pray your honorable body to rescind your said order and allow the engine to remain where it is. At a regular meeting of H & L Comty held on Monday March 2 1885 the Following resolution was presented by Mr L Booth and passed unanimously by the Company. That we request the action of the City Council in removing Engine No 2 to North Seattle as disasterous to the best interests of the Fire Department and dangerous to the safety of this City That we request our delegates to present these resolution to the Board of [?] and urge the passage of such resolutions as in the inspment of the Guard an requsite and necessary and present this to the City Council [?] them to rescind their action in regard to No 2 Engine J C Harris J Schram Jack Levy Delegates [copy]
