To the Honable Mayor and Common council of the City of Seattle: - We the undersigned petitioners, owners of property along and abutting on Moltke St. in the city of Seattle, King County, Washington, respectfully pray your Hon. Body to order said Moltke St. graded, and side walks eight feet wide constructed and open drains laid onboth sides of said street from Depot St. to Morse St.

And your petitioners will ever pray.

63 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE for 27 cents per yard; and R W McDaniels for 29 cents per yard The Special Committee on Engine House an instructed to let the contract for said grading to Patrick Forest and P Quigley for 20 cents per yard, their bids being the lowest and in case they will not take said contract as partners then the said committee should let the contract to one of said two lowest bidders Ordere that the Special Committee in Engine House be authorized to sell or tear down the house on the lot on Second Street where it is porposed to build a new Engine House. Ordered that the Street Committee be instructed to examine all stairways in the side walks in the city and report what actionif any shoul be taken by the Council Ordered that the Streets Commissioner be and he is hereby instructed to rail all dangerous places ini the streets and sidewalks for the City Ordered that the Council no stand adjourned until Friday evening May 12th 1882 Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved L P Smith Mayor Be it remembered that on this 8th day of May 1882 the Common COuncil meets pursuant to law as a Board of Equalization for the purpost of equalizing the general assessment roll of the City of Seattle for the year 1882 Present, His Honor the Mayor, L P Smith and Councilmen Wm A Jennings, John Keenan and Charles McDonald There being no quorum present the council adjourns until Tuesday evening May 9th at 7&1/2 O'Clock Attest E S Osborne Clerk Approved L P Smith Mayor
