Dear Sir, The subject referred to in the accompanying circular is not now for the first time brought to the notice of the "Pres. & Fellows"
I find upon the records of our Board of Trustees, three years since () the following as the Report of a Comee to whom the subject was refd.
"The Committee to whom was referred the memorial of Mr Lawrence, Treasr of Harvd College, respecting the boundaries of the lot in the Cemetery belonging to that Corporation - with full power.
Reported that they had arranged with the Treasurer of the College that said lot should be surveyed, and that is should be optional with him whether the monuments now said to encroach upon the lands of this Corporation should be removed within the present bounds, or whether sufficient land should be exchanged from another part of said lot to be equivalent to the land now occupied by said monuments."
And the report was accepted - and here, it now appears, the matter ended. -

Contract for Perpetl Repair of Lot 1841
The Secretary reported that the Committee on Lots had contracted with Mr Peter C. Brooks for the perpetual care of the "Capt. Josiah Sturgis lot." so called _ numbered eighteen hundred and forty one, (1841) for the sum of two hundred dollars. _
and it was
Voted that said contract be concurred in.

Upon the petition of the parties in interest representatives were designated for the several lots in connection with which they are named, as follows: -
13 Horace G. Wills of Roxbury, son of the only heir of Grace Mead, deceased proprietor of lot numbered 13;
131 Arthur A. Eckley of Boston, son of Caroline S. Eckley, decd propr of lot numbered 131;
226 Dr John S. Whiting of Charlestown, guardian of heir of Seth Barker decd propr of lot numbered 226;
276 George Henshaw of Boston, son of Charles Henshaw decd propr of lot numbered 276;
310 Ann Sturgis Hooper of Boston, daughter of William Sturgis, decd propr of lot numbered 310;
330 The Treasurer of Harvard College to represent the lot owned by that Corporation, numbered 330;
