& Joc received and invitation to the wedding of Virginia Smith and Monroe Greenwood which is to be June first.
Yesterday afternoon mother and Martha went to Oakland so I had the honor of taking care of Mary Helen. Tom Birbeck was here to see her this morning. When he saw your pin he asked if we were engaged, said he hoped we were. But I told him we were not. He makes me so mad, he is always butting into other people's business.
Well, sweetheart, I guess I have told you all the news.
With lots of love & everything Mar.

guess I won't, I would rather lie and think about my Sned before going to sleep.
I have been taking care of Mary Helen all afternoon. Martha, Mother and Mabel went to Oakland. I had company, Tom Birbeck was here. He only stayed a little while.
I hope you won't think this letter too mushy, dear, I know you told me once I made my letters too much that way, but I just can't help it when I am writing to you, I do love you so much.
As ever, Marion.
Martha received a nice letter from your mother to-day.
