possible to see you before you go across – Your Uncle Phil has been away for more than three weeks attending to business – If he were at home – and had time to spare and the weather permitted we might motor down. Philip – (fifteen now!) runs the car – but I would of course not undertake such a trip with him – If you can obtain a furlough – we would love to have him come up? We are twenty two miles North E. of Scranton on the D. L. & W. – which you take at Hoboken N.J.

Do come up – if you can. The best trains do not all stop here – but at Scranton on Wyoming Ave – you can take "The Scranton Electric" trolley – which will land you in Nicholson in about six hours and a half. If you come up to see us – you will travel thro' "The Delaware Water Gap", famous for its scenery – and tho' Nicholson is only a small village nestling among wooded hills. We have here one of the wonders of the world – "the 8th wonder"[inserted above] – and a thing

of great beauty. Namely "the great viaduct of the D. L. & W. over the Tunkhannock Creek at Nicholson."! You can come up – or make the trip one day in five or six hours. With a good train – on a local – leaving Hoboken at eight a.m. – or thereabouts and on which you would make no change at Scranton you would reach this at about 2 p.m. – Going back – one can leave this – getting on a sleeper here – near midnight – & arriving in Hoboken in the A.M. I trust that this great heat may soon be a thing of the past. If you see Dick give him lots of love
