They had heard us talking in their field and had been all for turning us out, only they didn't, stayed and talked and talked and talked and we were so tired and they just didn't know how to end the conversation and leave, but finally they did. They were just kids about 16 and very nice and farmerish.

I told you about the station I think and the cow! Such were our nights. Not peaceful and restful at all.

The country is certainly beautiful especially through the Catskills, right back of the palisades are more mountains the Ramapoe Mts. Of course there are only ant hills to you but they are pretty and in some places the elevation is 2000 ft.
