Dear Sned,

Have received two cards from you so far and I am so glad that you are having such a good time. I suppose by now you are at Fallen Leaf. I guess you are seeing some wonderful scenery. I miss my Sned like everything and although I am glad you are away on a vacation I will be glad when you are home again. I do

My dear Edward

I have just received your postal of the 16th, that you will not return to the 30th or 31st. This is satisfactory to me, if you are enjoying yourself and your foot is not giving you any trouble. I am glad to know that you and Bull have been commended, by Mr. Fisher for having done your duty.

We are all well at home today, though Dick was sick Sat night or Sunday, and Jocelyn last evening, both with symptoms of having eaten something which has poisoned them. They are all right today. Les has a cold. Mother & I are both well and we all wish we were at Fallen Leaf. The weather is fine here now. Nor says it is so hot, that he shedies in his room all day without any clothes on. He will be through next Friday and will probably go to Netcong to see Anna.

Love from us all Your loving Father

HLA Bates
