The last word we had was August 4th letter from Camp Mills in which you intimated that you would be leaving very soon. We have heard nothing definite since and nothing from Dick which is strange as he never has forgotten my birthday before. Nor have you? We fear that you are on the water – & have left the U.S. already, yet this card from Canada would indicate that you were still on the this continent, at [underlined] least when you sent it. possible to run down there Aunt Anna lives at Nicholson near Scranton P.A. I don't know how far that is [underlined] --- but tell you in case it is [underlined] anywhere nearby. I think the ten dollars Aunt Anna sent you was to bring you down there to see them while you were at Camp Mills (when you expected to be before sailing some time you know).
In any case dearest please wire us as as soon as possible giving us an idea of your whereabouts & how long you are likely to be kept there --- I have planned seriously going up to meet you at Billings --- I want to see my mother too --- & I could pay her a two or three
